Nicholas Tetteh Nartey Professionally known as Big Ghun pronounced "Big Goon" and Nicholas ‘’Big Ghun’’ Nartey is a Ghanaian musician, Film Director, Producer and an Entrepreneur. He is the CEO of PB Studios Africa
He holds a Bachelor of fine Arts in Film Directing Degree from National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI), a certification in film and television production from New York Film academy, certification in film and Television production from Multichoice Talent factory and a diploma from in Film and Television production from Pan Atlantic University.
Big Ghun was born to parents Martin Tettey Nartey and Regina Nartey. He was raised in Koforidua in the Eastern region of Ghana. He attended Manya Krobo SHS (Odumase-Krobo) where he completed his Senior High School education.
MUSIC CAREER
Big Ghun's career in music began in school where he started recording his demos in a rap group called 'Young Khalibenz' where he used to be known as Kobby Stone, he changed his name in 2018 when he got signed to TNR Music a record label owned by Ghanian Hiplife legend TiC.
He was made the cover model on the 16th volume of the American-based magazines Leblanc music mag and London Leblanc magazine.
He was a regular panelist on a rap show called Showbiz927 on 3fm, a local radio station based in Accra Ghana.
He began performing in 2018 with TiC, when he got featured on a rendition of Nero X's song Yawa Dey, titled Yawa Dey Part 2.
Big Ghun released songs like Bombastic featuring Zeal of VVIP fame and also collaborated with his record label head TiC to release Walk Off.
Big Ghun was featured TiC’s extended play titled Mama Grace where he was paired with Kelvyn boy on a song titled Love Me Now.
Early 2021 Big Ghun left TNR after his contract ended and went ahead to independently release songs like Whan Boy Nie, Ex Freestyle, Yenko and an EP titled Moe.
FILM CAREER
Big Ghun is known to have directed Tv adverts for some brands in Ghana but officially made his entry into the Ghana Film Industry when he premiered a television show he directed in December 2019 at the Silverbird Cinemas located in Accra Ghana. This show was titled “LivingFields Agri Challenge”.
In 2020 Big Ghun shot his maiden short film titled Koro (One) which was recognized at African Film festival Atlanta, Lake International Pan African film festival, World Indie Film Festival, Black Star International Film Festival, African International Horror Film Festival, African Film Festival, African Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards, The Short by Startime, Accra Indie Film Festival, Realtime International Film Festival, World Indie Film awards and won the best short thriller at Robinson Film Awards International Film Festival.
In December 2022 Big Ghun made another major industry stride when he co directed a nollywood showmax original movie titled LEAKED.
